Purely Dicta Magazine publishes all kinds of articles that would be relevant to law students. Whether the article is categorised as satire, critical analysis, creative, journalistic, or the like, so long as it might pique the interest of a law student.

If you are looking for guidance on whether a piece you’ve written would be suitable for Purely Dicta Magazine, please submit a pitch and we will help you.

We are so glad that you would like to share your writing with Purely Dicta Magazine.

If you would like your article published by Purely Dicta Magazine, then please submit a pitch detailing what your article is written about/what you would like to write an article about, and we will contact you with further information.

We understand that you may wish to share a political opinion or personal story without the concern of a negative public response. Currently, we will only be accepting anonymously-published articles (e.g. ‘Written by Anonymous’). However, for the purposes of safety, we will also be requiring that you share your University of Melbourne email with us (the Editors).

Our main reason for requiring this information being that we want to maintain this forum as a safe space.

Purely Dicta Magazine is open to a diverse range of dialogue on many topics, however, if an article or pitch uses offensive language or is likely to make people feel unsafe, it will not be published.
